I have been working with dogs for over 20 years.  A graduate of Animal Behavior College, member of APDT(association of pet dog trainers), Certified as a CGC (Canine good citizen) evaluator.

A personal note from Aunt Lori

"Dog training is a passion for me, not so much a business, I want to help dogs and their parents."

The Canine Good Citizenship program was started by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to help encourage responsible dog ownership and to help them teach their four legged family members proper etiquette. This applies not only in the home, but especially helpful when in public.

The CGC program consist of 10 steps:

  1. Accepting a friendly stranger
  2. Sitting politely for petting
  3. Appearance and grooming
  4. Out for a walk
  5. Walking through a crowd
  6. Sit down and stay in place on command
  7. Coming when called
  8. Reaction to another dog
  9. Reaction to distractions
  10. Supervised seperation

After passing all 10 steps you and your dog will receive AKC certification!

There is no age limit and all dogs with proof of vaccinations can participate. Whether you are plan on registering your dog as a therapy dog, service dog, or just want to know your dog this will be a fun and rewarding process.
